As the owner of Bearlanders Trading co, I have been buying American Indian jewelry and gifts throughout the American Southwest since 1981. Because of my genuine interest in the American Indians and their culture, I decided to create a business to showcase and sell American Indian jewelry and gifts. Since opening my first on-line store back in May 2000, I found a large number of Americans have a growing interest and fasination with American Indian dream catchers. Modern American society has accepted the dream catcher as a way to capture and destroy bad dreams.
Dream catchers have also been welcomed into mainstream American culture as a way of capturing the American dream.

Turquoise is also used in religious ceremonies because it is thought to promote healing and bring good luck. In Indian folklore, it is said that God loved Turquoise so much, that once He had finished creating Mother Earth, He threw all the remaining Turquoise to the Heavens, creating the beautiful blue turquoise skies that we enjoy so much today. |
