Bearlanders Trading Co is always looking for the finest quality in the merchandise we sell. We are very pleased to have found the Indian Artist Mae and her family, who is pictured here in front of the house she grew up in on the reservation. Mae does an excellent job hand crafting the Dream Catchers, Mandella's and Medicine Wheel's we carry. Because these Dream Catchers, Mandella's and Medicine Wheel's are hand crafted, each one will differ slightly in the color of the feathers and beads. Each Dream Catcher, Mandella and Medicine Wheel is shipped with a certificate of authenticity as well as the spiritual meaning which we list below.
Mandella:
The concept of the Mandella has its origins in the Indian war shield. The Mandella was thought to bring its owner health, happiness, prosperity and good luck in the home.
The shield is made with Leather, Rabbit Fur and a Silver disc, hanging down the Mandella is synthetic wool, wooden beads and feathers.
Medicine Wheel : Is round to represent the circle of life. The cross in the center represents the four winds, four seasons, four directions and four Grandfathers (teachers).
